Southern Railway System No. 6100 on display at Electro-Motive Division's 50th anniversary celebration on September 9, 1972 at McCook, Ill. No. 6100 was EMD's model FT demonstrator 103 and ran with a companion B unit for a total of 2700 hp. The FT locomotive is credited as the leading influence that brought an end to the steam locomotive era.

A 1927 Baldwin-Westinghouse built electric at Danbury, Conn., about to make a fast trip down the branch to Norwalk, then into New York City via the main line. No. 322 was snapped in 1958 with only a year left before it was scrapped. Note the new paint scheme which only a very few of the older electrics ever received.

3295 Picture Window P.C.C. was one of the last series of cars built for the M.T.A. It was built by Pullman Standard in 1951. The car was the first car to open service on the Highland Branch to Riverside. Employees completely restored the car for the 20th anniversary of the Highland Branch.
